Bluetooth Headset Mold Design Plan Sharing

This presentation introduces an injection mold structural design solution for Bluetooth headsets, serving as a reference for mold development of plastic housings for similar Bluetooth headset products.

1. Product Introduction

The Bluetooth headset housing features a compact structure and strict surface appearance requirements. Multiple undercuts and angled features are designed on the inner side of the part. Conventional straight ejection cannot achieve smooth demolding, so sliders, angled lifters and secondary ejection mechanisms are required.

2. Gating and Cavity Layout Design

Gating type and cavity arrangement are optimized considering appearance requirements and filling balance. It ensures uniform melt filling, controllable shrinkage and stable molding, while meeting mass production efficiency and cosmetic quality standards.

3. Slider Mechanism Design for Product Demolding

To handle multiple inner undercuts and angled features of the headset, this mold adopts a combined demolding system consisting of front mold angled slider, rear mold slider, rear mold angled core pin and secondary ejection, solving the demolding challenge of complex undercuts.

4. 3D Mold Structure Demonstration

The overall mold has a neat layout. Sliders, angled lifters, latches and secondary ejection mechanisms work in precise coordination. This proven structure can be reused for similar products.

Working Principle

The mold realizes staged demolding under sequential control of latches:

  1. Upon initial mold parting, the front mold angled slider retracts first to release the product undercut.
  2. Mold opening continues until A and B plates fully separate. The rear mold angled slider and main slider simultaneously withdraw from the side undercuts of the part.
  3. Finally, linked by the secondary ejection latch, the rear angled core pin disengages the undercut, and the product is fully ejected via secondary ejection.

This mold design boasts reasonable structure, stable movement and low failure rate during mass production. It provides a mature reference for mold development of Bluetooth headsets and other small precision consumer electronics.
